Her music tells her story...
Grace Ardeshiri is a classically trained pianist and composer in the new age and neo-classical genre. She was born in 1956 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and later at the age of six, she and her mother came to United States in pursuit of a better life and opportunities.
She began her piano and clarinet studies at age 10 and her constant fascination for music proved that this was more than just a hobby. Music was meant to define her life.
During her early years, she performed different jobs and was successful in working with competition horses. Grace continued her musical studies at a nearby college. As she was excelling among her peers as a pianist and composer. Her musical skills got easily noticed by her friends and teachers.
She participated in musical bands and orchestras playing the clarinet, which gave her a broader understanding on how musical ensembles work. Later she was able use that knowledge into her compositions.
Among her favorite composers are Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Mendelssohn. She is also a fan of rock bands like Supertramp, Queen or Metallica. All this vast musical background and her musically open mind matched perfectly with her classical studies and one can easily notice all these influences in her art.
A big shift in her musical career took place when she met her music mentor, the pianist and composer Bogdan Ota. The meeting took place at one of his performances in Las Vegas. A few years later Bogdan Ota started mentoring her on music interpretation and performance. Once he heard her piano compositions he realized that there was great potential in her creations, so he convinced her to produce an album. He arranged, orchestrated and produced all her music and their tight collaboration led to a beautiful friendship. She regards him as one of the most influential people in her life when it comes to music.
